About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and encouragement to people with dementia, helping them to feel at ease and participate in our music therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and engaging with people with dementia, helping them to feel comfortable and included
  • Providing support and encouragement to participants during music therapy sessions
  • Assisting the session facilitator with setting up and running the sessions
  • Helping to create a safe and supportive environment for people with dementia

Requirements

  • Ability to listen and display compassion
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
  • Physical fitness to move tables and chairs as needed
  • Ability to navigate online platforms and use Zoom with confidence (for virtual sessions)
