About the Role
We're seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a valued member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in providing support and encouragement to people with dementia, helping them to feel at ease and participate in our uplifting singing sessions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with people with dementia, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Provide encouragement and support to participants, helping them to feel confident and motivated.
- Work collaboratively with our session facilitators to ensure the smooth delivery of our singing sessions.
- Support the facilitators with setting up and clearing the room, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all participants.
About You
We're looking for someone who is caring, empathetic, and able to build meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. You'll need to be physically fit enough to move tables and chairs, but no prior experience is necessary. A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations is essential, as well as a passion for making a positive impact on people's lives.
