Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service, preventing hospital admissions and promoting the physical and mental health of prisoners. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading medication rounds and dispensing controlled medication
- Responding to emergency situations and assessing patients' health needs
- Screening prisoners on admission and throughout their custody, identifying physical and mental health needs
- Making clinical judgments regarding immediate and long-term treatment
