We are seeking a skilled Administrative Officer to join our team at the Department for Work and Pensions. As part of our Operational Delivery team, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers and delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to a diverse range of claimants via face-to-face and telephony interactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across the DWP organisation.
  • Tailor your approach to accommodate individual circumstances and ensure claimants receive the correct information or payment amount at the right time.
  • Handle sensitive and challenging situations with all claimants in a positive and professional manner.
  • Follow DWP policy and understand the impact on your work.
  • Make decisions by examining the available facts and providing explanations to claimants as required.
  • Take ownership of your personal development by accessing digital learning and communications tools.

  • Competent in delivering a quality service to a diverse claimant base via face-to-face and telephony interactions.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet changing priorities and manage a diverse workload.
  • Confident in tailoring the service to meet the needs of the individual.
  • Act on feedback to enhance quality of service delivery.
  • Take ownership of complaints and support their resolution.
