We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Case Manager to join our team at a specialist lender. As a Mortgage Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing a pipeline of 1st and 2nd charge cases after a mortgage offer has been issued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain information to progress cases to completion.
- Manage case pipeline: Monitor and manage the upcoming expiration of documents and offers to ensure timely completion.
- Update management information: Maintain accurate and up-to-date management information by updating relevant systems.
- Ensure mortgage conditions: Verify that all mortgage conditions are satisfied before cases are completed.
- Work with underwriting team: Collaborate with the underwriting team to effectively manage the post-offer caseload.
- Process completion documentation: Process incoming completion documentation via post, email, or other means.
- Provide completion forecasts: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly completion forecasts to the line manager.
- Underwriting cross-skill: Gain a full understanding of the underwriting process and provide cross-skill cover when required.
- Manage digital application files: Create and maintain digital application files, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected, scanned, and stored correctly.
- Instruct solicitors: Instruct solicitors to act on behalf of the company in transactions.
- Quality assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks on other underwriters' cases.
- Point of contact: Serve as a point of contact for incoming calls to the team's main group telephone number.
- Return original documents: Return original documents to clients.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience within the secured lending sector is desirable but not essential.
- Underwriting knowledge: A good understanding of the underwriting process is desirable but not essential.
- Industry qualifications: Industry-relevant qualifications are beneficial but not a requirement.
- Administrative experience: Experience within an administrative role.
- GCSE English & Maths: GCSE English and Maths qualifications.
