Advanced Podiatry Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Podiatrist to join our team as an Advanced Podiatry Specialist in Podiatric Surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Consultant Podiatric Surgeons in delivering high-quality patient care and developing the podiatric surgery service across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities
The role will involve working closely with other team members to provide cover for annual leave and sickness, ensuring continuity of patient care. You will also be responsible for conducting outpatient clinics and theatre sessions, including post-operative wound care and medical clinical clerking. In addition, you will be expected to take clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and organize this effectively to meet patient, service, and professional priorities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Podiatric Medicine from an accredited educational establishment and considerable postgraduate study, training, and further qualification. You must be registered to practice with the Health Professions Council and have several years of post-qualification experience in a podiatric surgery department. Additionally, you should have evidence of mentoring podiatrists participating in the podiatric surgery rotation scheme, experience of advanced local anaesthesia techniques, and experience of post-op patient care.
