Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join the SEN team at a Secondary School in West Derby. The successful candidate will provide support to students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, non-verbal, Downs Syndrome, PDA, and GLD.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and classroom support to help students access the curriculum and develop their skills and confidenceWork closely with the SENCO and other staff to implement individual education plans and monitor progressSupport students with a range of special educational needs in a secondary school setting

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Experience of working with SEN students in a secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be paid a competitive daily rate (£120-£180 per day), based on experience, plus holiday pay. Additionally, you will receive free, up-to-date safeguarding training and the option to join our guarantee pay scheme.
