Job Overview
The post holder will provide comprehensive support services in the reception areas, ensuring an efficient service and maintaining a high-quality environment. The role involves greeting visitors/patients, receiving post, processing files, and communicating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- To greet all visitors/patients who enter the department and approach the Reception Desk, providing an exceptional service experience.
- To ensure the Reception area is always available and well-maintained, adhering to quality standards.
- To receive and process incoming post in a timely manner and ensure outgoing post is similarly processed.
- Effective communication with stakeholders, including trainees, clinicians, managers, patients, and colleagues from other agencies.
- Recording, archiving, and recalling files as necessary.
- To participate in trainee satisfaction surveys, risk assessments, and staff questionnaires, as required by the departmental management team.
- To assist within the bookings team and book patients once fully trained.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrable previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role for at least 12 months.
- Administrative/secretarial experience with proficiency in Windows-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel).
- Proven English & Maths GCSE grade C or equivalent.
- Excellent IT and keyboard skills, with good attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and electronic, with ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Good customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Able to work well in a busy environment and maintain a professional appearance.
- Flexibility with relation to duties and working patterns, with excellent telephone manner.
Additional Information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.08 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Schedule:
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
