About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Crisis Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people experiencing mental health crises.

Job Summary

The CAMHS Crisis Team provides short-term, recovery-focused interventions to children and young people in crisis. We work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure that young people receive the support they need to manage their mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based clinical interventions to children and young people in crisis
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to ensure the safety and well-being of young people
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to provide a comprehensive service to children and young people
  • Provide supervision and support to Band 4 Crisis Support Workers
  • Develop and implement individual care plans to support young people in crisis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A mental health nursing qualification or social work qualification
  • Current registration with the NMC or HCPC
  • Experience of working with children and young people in crisis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to children and young people
