We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Crisis Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people experiencing mental health crises.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based clinical interventions and make autonomous clinical decisions about your professional practice.
- Develop, plan, and implement brief care and treatment interventions for individual children and young people.
- Assess, plan, and implement individual packages of care and treatment.
- Ensure that individual episodes of care are delivered in a timely, effective, and integrated manner.
- Provide supervision to Band 4 Crisis Support Workers.
- Promote a recovery model that empowers patients, carers, and relatives to be at the forefront of decision-making and ownership of their packages of care and treatment.
- Undertake clinical risk assessments based on the latest empirical evidence and compliant with local policies and procedures.
- Act as the patient's and relatives' advocate.
- Enable patients and carers to manage disability, loss, and change.
- Champion patients' rights, including dignity, equality, diversity, choice, and respect.
- Mental Health Nurse/Social Work qualification or Registered Nurse with CAMHS experience.
- Current NMC/HCPC Registration appropriate to the job role.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Experience of working with people presenting in mental health crisis.
- Experience of risk assessment and management.
- Multi-agency working/working across service interfaces.
- Working within a multicultural framework.
