About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Crisis Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based clinical interventions and make autonomous clinical decisions about your professional practice.
  • Develop, plan, and implement brief care and treatment interventions for individual children and young people.
  • Assess, plan, and implement individual packages of care and treatment.
  • Ensure that individual episodes of care are delivered in a timely, effective, and integrated manner.
  • Provide supervision to Band 4 Crisis Support Workers.
  • Promote a recovery model that empowers patients, carers, and relatives to be at the forefront of decision-making and ownership of their packages of care and treatment.
  • Undertake clinical risk assessments based on the latest empirical evidence and compliant with local policies and procedures.
  • Act as the patient's and relatives' advocate.
  • Enable patients and carers to manage disability, loss, and change.
  • Champion patients' rights, including dignity, equality, diversity, choice, and respect.
Requirements
  • Mental Health Nurse/Social work qualification or Registered Nurse with CAMHS experience.
  • Current NMC/HCPC Registration appropriate to the job role.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience of working with people presenting in mental health crisis.
  • Experience of risk assessment and management.
  • Multi-agency working/working across service interfaces.
  • Working within a multicultural framework.
