About the Role:

We are seeking a calm, resilient support worker with a great sense of humour to join our team. The successful candidate will be someone who truly enjoys making a difference in others' lives and has a caring and assertive nature that helps them thrive in challenging situations.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and proactive, able to handle behaviours that others might find challenging. They will also have a manual UK driving license and be comfortable driving alternative vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Care & Support: Providing personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
  • Building Relationships: Getting to know the individuals we support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
  • Empowering Independence: Assisting with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.
  • Social Engagement: Supporting activities like holidays, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone can enjoy what they love doing.
  • Respect & Dignity: Ensuring that the individuals and their families are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and equality.

Who You Will Be Supporting

Experience supporting individuals with autism, complex health needs, and physically challenging behaviours would be a strong advantage. We require calm, resilient support workers with a great sense of humour to join our team. We need someone to support them to lead the life they want and encourage them to be gradually more and more skilled and confident.
