Thrive Together Social Care is a leading social care provider seeking a skilled and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team.

The estimated salary for this role is £29.25-£41.50 per hour, based on location and experience.

About the Role:

As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people and their families to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. You will work closely with clients, other professionals, and community organisations to ensure comprehensive support for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people and their families to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Provide emotional support to individuals and families facing various challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and community organisations, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior social work staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
  • Participate in case reviews and team meetings to discuss client progress and strategies for improvement.
  • Stay informed about relevant policies, legislation, and best practices in social work.

Requirements:

  • You will hold a recognised Social Work qualification eg. Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England.
  • 3 years post qualified experience.
  • You will have successfully completed your ASYE.
  • You will have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid control and restrain training (e.g. PMVA).
