Job Description:

Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Technical Specialist to join our team at the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT).

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 engineering qualification and relevant practical experience in workshops engineering. As an Aviation Technical Specialist, you will play a vital role in developing training programs for RAF personnel, transforming them into competent workshop technicians.

You will be responsible for theoretical and practical instruction of military students in advanced materials manufacturing and metalwork techniques. The successful candidates will also contribute to internal and external evaluation audits, ensuring student safety and adherence to fire, health, and safety precautions.

The total remuneration package includes a salary of £28,300, with an additional £6,000 Recruitment and Retention Allowance, making the total remuneration £34,300. You will also receive a Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme contribution of £7,641.

Benefits include a Flexi-time scheme, 25 days paid annual leave rising by one day per completed year of service, eight public holidays, and special paid leave for volunteer duties. You will also enjoy Defence Discounts, including healthcare, insurance, and motoring discounts.
