About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Energy Contract Management Expert to join our team. This role will involve working with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and optimize business processes within the energy portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract management, market communication, settlement, and invoicing processes within the energy sector. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills in English, are essential for this position.

Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily business operations, including end-to-end contract management, balance settlement, contract settlement, invoicing, and payments.
  • Participate in regulatory and collateral management processes.
  • Establish reliable interfaces with internal and external customers.
  • Communicate complex operational topics to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, either leading optimization and automation efforts or coordinating with IT departments.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in business, finance, accounting, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in a similar operations-focused position or unit.
  • Proven experience in the UK energy sector, with a strong understanding of flexibility markets, balancing services, PPAs, or retail market.
  • Solid knowledge of contract management, market communication, settlement, and invoicing processes within energy portfolios.
  • Experience with SQL (ability to create reports, extract, and analyse data); knowledge of Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with energy management data systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English (mandatory).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and collaboration.
