We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team at Biltmore Mayfair. As a Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for supporting the Development Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chefs in a busy hotel kitchen, delivering consistently high-quality pastries, cakes, and afternoon tea items.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Development Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chefs in creating and preparing pastry selections as specified by the senior chef on duty.
- Work on different sections of the kitchen, including pastry production, plating, and presentation.
- Produce tasty, good-looking creative pastries that meet the hotel's high standards.
- Ensure that all food is prepared hygienically and safely at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Minimize waste of any food products at all times, optimizing inventory and reducing costs.
- Work a variety of shifts, including weekends, days, mornings, afternoons, and evenings, to meet the demands of the hotel's busy schedule.
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie in a high-quality hotel or restaurant.
- Strong awareness of trends and seasonality of produce, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- A highly creative approach to work, with excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional results.
- Knowledgeable about food safety, health and safety regulations, and compliance procedures.
- A positive and can-do attitude, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
