About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geophysical Engineer to join our team at Gardline. As a Geophysical Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our geophysical and seismic equipment, ensuring that our surveys are conducted to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain geophysical and seismic equipment, including winches, cranes, and jibs.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and tested, and that spares are stocked and manuals are available.
  • Monitor and quality control data records in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop and operate engineering and administrative processes to support the work of the Geophysical Department.
  • Assist and provide technical assistance to Environmental and Geotechnical operations.
Requirements
  • Experience in relevant engineering disciplines, such as electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, data communications, or IT infrastructure.
  • Broad knowledge of geophysical and seismic operations.
  • Proven track record of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to develop constructive and open relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Team spirit and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to problem solve using initiative and creativity.
  • Dedicated work ethic.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, including technical.
  • High level IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to pass ENG-1 and STCW-95 (or recognised equivalent).
