About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Voyage Care in Wrexham. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the individuals we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Encourage and support individuals to access their local communities, socialize, and engage in activities
  • Teach new life skills, such as cooking and cleaning, to promote independence
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals

Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving license
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, complex mental health needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Resilience, flexibility, and composure in approach
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
