Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Worker/Personal Assistant to join our team at Wrexham County Borough Council. As a Support Worker/Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with their daily life, enabling them to maintain their independence and participate in activities they enjoy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Individual: Assist the individual in accessing activities they enjoy, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Personalised Support: Provide personal care and support to the individual, respecting their autonomy and dignity.
  • Communication and Social Skills: Help the individual to communicate and navigate social situations, building their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Independence and Community Involvement: Support the individual to maintain their independence within the home and community, promoting their involvement in activities and social events.

Requirements:

  • Driving and Transportation: Possess a valid driving license and have access to a reliable vehicle with the necessary insurance.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: Hold an Enhanced DBS check, or be willing to undergo one as part of the recruitment process.
  • Training and Development: Be willing to participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Working Hours:

Term time: 6 hours per week

School holidays: 8 hours per week

Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour
