Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Residential Activity Worker to join our team at Leader Recruitment Group. As a Senior Residential Activity Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people, helping them to develop their independence, confidence, and life skills.

About the Role:

  • Lead and organize outdoor and recreational activities that are both engaging and therapeutic for the young people in your care.
  • Support the development of individual care plans, ensuring that each child's needs are met.
  • Provide emotional and practical support, helping children and young people to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure the smooth running of the home.
  • Act as a role model and mentor to less experienced staff, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement activity programs that promote physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure that each child's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children and young people.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a similar residential setting.
  • A genuine passion for outdoor activities and a commitment to using them as part of a therapeutic approach.
  • Must be a driver with a full, clean driving license.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work a 4 on/8 off shift pattern, including sleep-ins.
