Leader Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Activity Worker to join a new service in Stoke-on-Trent. As a Senior Residential Activity Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people, helping them to develop their independence, confidence, and life skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and organizing outdoor and recreational activities that are both engaging and therapeutic for the young people in your care.
  • Supporting the development of individual care plans, ensuring that each child's needs are met.
  • Providing emotional and practical support, helping children and young people to achieve their full potential.
  • Working closely with the management team to ensure the smooth running of the home.
  • Acting as a role model and mentor to less experienced staff, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
Requirements:
  • Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a similar residential setting.
  • A genuine passion for outdoor activities and a commitment to using them as part of a therapeutic approach.
  • Must be a driver with a full, clean driving license.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work a 4 on/8 off shift pattern, including sleep-ins.
