Job Title: Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to support our client's manufacturing site in Wrexham. As a key member of the site's leadership team, you will lead efforts to ensure compliance, promote best practices, and drive a strong safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a Proactive HSE Culture: Encourage all employees to prioritize safety and environmental practices, promoting a culture of responsibility and accountability.
  • Manage HSE Management Systems: Ensure compliance with regulations, including ISO 45001, and maintain effective HSE Management Systems.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Regularly assess potential hazards and implement effective control measures to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and Report HSE Performance: Analyze trends, identify areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to site leadership.
  • Collaborate with Plant Leadership: Work closely with plant leadership to develop and implement safety initiatives, provide guidance on new equipment and processes, and represent the site during interactions with external regulatory bodies.
  • Lead Incident Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Oversee Safety Training: Develop and deliver safety training programs, ensuring all employees are properly informed of their HSE responsibilities.
  • Represent the Site: Serve as the site's representative during interactions with external regulatory bodies, auditors, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven HSE Experience: A minimum of [X] years of experience in a similar HSE role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Formal HSE Qualifications: A NEBOSH Diploma, Environmental Management Certificate, or IEMA Certificate is highly desirable.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
