Job Description

Thames Water is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Support Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the operational team, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the operational team, including maintaining accurate records, managing data, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Facilities Management: Coordinate facilities within the organization, ensuring that all necessary resources are available and that the work environment is safe and efficient.
  • Customer Liaison: Respond to enquiries from within and outside the company, arranging meetings and providing general customer liaison.
  • Procurement Management: Manage the corporate procurement system for the area, including the raising and tracking of orders.
  • Financial Reporting: Report on financial spend and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • IT Support: Maintain and update relevant corporate IT systems, ensuring that all necessary software and hardware are up to date and functioning correctly.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous working experience in secretarial and administrative support, preferably in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with procurement systems and financial reporting.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, positivity, self-motivation, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.
What We Offer:
  • Hourly Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Location: Banbury or Witney Sewage Treatment Works.
  • Length of Assignment: 6 months, with the possibility of extending up to 12 months.
  • Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
