Job Description

Thames Water is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Support Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the operational team, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and verify data, records, and information obtained from various sources to support business requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and up-to-dateness of the staff resource management system.
  • Respond to enquiries from within and outside the company, arranging meetings and general customer liaison.
  • Manage corporate procurement systems for the area, including the raising and tracking of orders.
  • Report on financial spend and provide administrative support to the operational team.
  • Maintain and update relevant corporate IT systems.
Requirements:
  • Previous working experience in secretarial and administrative support.
  • Flexibility, positivity, self-motivation, and comfort in a fast-changing working environment.
  • Excellent working relationships at all levels, with good attention to detail.
  • Resilience under pressure, working to tight time scales, and capable of working under own initiative for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and function as a team player.
  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and procurement systems preferred, with software training available for suitable candidates.
What's in it for you?
  • Hourly pay rate: between £15.00 per hour depending on your level of experience.
  • Location: Thames Valley North Wastewater Area.
  • Length of assignment: 6 months with the possibility of extending up to 12 months.
  • Hours: 36 Monday-Friday.
