Are you a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Paediatrician looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Transformation Unit, based in Shrewsbury. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and working closely with community nursing staff, allied health professionals, and social workers.

The post holder will be expected to work at a consultant level in community child health, with experience in child protection/safeguarding to at least level 3 competencies. They must have demonstrated competencies equivalent to higher specialist paediatric training, including usually three years in community child health.

The estimated salary for this position is £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, depending on experience. The Trust provides a lease car scheme for eligible employees, and the appointee must be able to travel to meet the requirements of the job.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership for specialist trainees on rotation in community paediatrics
  • Work closely with community nursing staff, allied health professionals, and social workers
  • Participate in a weekday 9 am to 5 pm safeguarding child protection on-call rota, supported by regular child protection supervision and peer review

We are a progressive team working within a newly formed integrated care system, with many opportunities for partnership working. You will be well-supported by experienced team members and there is regular CPD with neighbouring trusts.
