Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Solutions Engineering Manager to lead our technical solutions program. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing sophisticated solutions and engineering experience, with a strong ability to communicate and present information to technical, finance, and executive-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the Sales and Solutions Engineering activities, particularly with hyperscale cloud and AI customers.
  2. Support the Sales Team in all aspects of project development, including presales, contract negotiation, and client technical conversations.
  3. Act as the technical single point of contact for clients, driving and managing client requirements and ensuring alignment with company business directions.
  4. Participate in the RFP process with customers and collaborate with other departments to create business case analysis.
  5. Provide accurate sales forecasting to the business and maintain a current understanding of the build schedule of all developments across EMEA.
  6. Demonstrate a proactive approach to Solutions Engineering by building and growing the role to meet the needs of VDC and its customers.
  7. Prepare and deliver technical proposals, design architectural overviews, and assist with customer site visits.
  8. Drive opportunities by supporting Sales teams in designing, positioning, and proving technology solutions.
  9. Articulate and conduct in-depth product feature benefit discussions as they relate to Vantage data center offerings.
  10. Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements.
  11. Engage in detailed network, power, cooling, and space assessment of customer's current and proposed IT environments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience.
  • Significant experience in Data Center Infrastructure solution sales, marketing, and management.
  • Hands-on approach, teamwork, and cooperation.
  • Excellent organization skills, positive attitude, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with and present information to the team.
  • Orientation to detail, ability to see the big picture, and excellent multitasking skills.
  • Inquisitive mindset, ability to build and maintain relationships effectively, and drive for continuous improvement.
