About the Job
The Wayman Learning Trust is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with special educational needs, working closely with the classroom teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans. Your responsibilities will include providing one-on-one support to students, assisting with classroom tasks, and facilitating social interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with special educational needs in a primary school setting.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with varying special educational needs.
  • Assist with classroom tasks, including preparing materials and maintaining a safe learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment and monitoring of student progress, helping to identify individual learning goals and adapting support strategies accordingly.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting. A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting individual learning needs is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required, as well as a commitment to inclusive education and the ability to modify teaching methods based on the diverse needs of students.

What We Offer
The salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
