Job Title: Antenatal Screening Maternity Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Maternity Support Worker to join our Antenatal and Newborn Screening Team at Northampton General Hospital. The successful candidate will provide support with Fetal Medicine Clinics, BCG vaccine clinics, and Preterm Birth Clinics.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake vital signs, urinalysis, and CO monitoring
  • Provide administrative support to the maternity team
  • Participate in tracking, obtaining, and filing clinical records
  • Update appropriate databases
  • Assist with the delivery of high-quality specialized care to mothers and their families
Requirements:
  • Education to NVQ level or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths Grades A-C, Levels 4-9, Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience
  • Commit to undertake in-house training
  • Care certificate
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Foundation Degree Maternity Pathway
  • Previous experience of working with members of the public
  • Understanding of Safeguarding issues
  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of data protection confidentiality
