Radiation Safety Coordinator

Location: Aberdeen

Key Responsibilities


• Maintain and update health and dose records for classified personnel.

• Organize and schedule medical assessments as requested by Project Managers or Engineers.

• Track expiration dates for ionizing radiation medical evaluations, ensuring compliance with annual medical appointments.

• Distribute Thermoluminescent Dosimeters (TLDs) to project teams, providing guidance on their proper use and ensuring their return.

• Process requests for the removal of notional doses from records when applicable.

• Issue termination forms and supply classified workers with copies of their dose records.

• Notify the Senior Radiation Protection Supervisor regarding any TLDs not returned by classified workers, ensuring accurate and secure record-keeping and updates to the Classified Worker Control Matrix.

• Coordinate investigations and assist in the collection of necessary documentation and details.


Additional Responsibilities

• Engage in work scope planning and execution.

• Ensure timely mobilization of required equipment.

• Maintain effective communication with personnel on assigned contracts.

• Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports and update inspection report trackers.

• Manage inspection dashboards and assist in the oversight of NDT equipment at designated locations through plant reports.

• Keep equipment logs and collaborate with the equipment coordinator to manage inventory levels.

• Oversee personnel details, timekeeping, timesheet submissions, and invoicing.

• Ensure completion and documentation of first trip, quarterly, and annual assessments.

• Provide sites with matrices of authorized personnel.
