Automotive Quality Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Quality Engineer to join our dedicated team at Aflex. In this role, you will collaborate with global customers in the passenger vehicle, motorsport, and performance markets, supplying high-quality products to leading brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume APQP cradle-to-grave responsibility for Automotive business enquiries, coordinating with various departments to achieve goals.
  • Develop and implement effective use and maintenance of core tools, including Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, and SOPs.
  • Manage customer complaints through investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects, administering 8D reports and customer communication.
  • Participate in FMEA reviews as part of a multi-functional team and collaborate on action plans to reduce risk.
  • Contribute to internal, process, and product audits in accordance with schedules and provide assistance during external audits.
  • Develop strong relationships with automotive customers, conducting site visits as necessary.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction to identify opportunities for universal improvement.
  • Provide interpretation of standards and legislation, offering necessary supporting documentation and certification.
  • Utilize leadership and project management skills to work closely with the production team, highlighting and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Significant experience working as a quality engineer in the Automotive sector.
  • Core tools training.
  • IATF 16929 internal auditor training.
  • Top-level contract review experience.
  • Engineering/manufacturing background.
  • Ability to manage work priorities.
  • Excellent communication, rapport building, and people skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
