We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Quality Expert to join our dedicated team at Aflex, a leading manufacturer of engineered solutions. As part of the Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc group, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working as a quality engineer in the automotive sector, with core tools training and IATF 16929 internal auditor certification. They will be responsible for implementing effective use and maintenance of core tools, managing customer complaints, and collaborating with our quality team to carry out internal and process audits.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced quality professional to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our business. We offer a competitive salary of approximately $70,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage APQP cradle-to-grave responsibility for automotive business enquiries, liaising with all departments within the organisation to achieve goals.
  • Lead on implementing effective use and maintenance of core tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SOPs)
  • Use your experience to manage customer complaints through investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects, whilst administrating 8D reports and customer communication.
  • Carry out FMEA reviews as part of a multi-functional team and collaborate on action plans to reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with our quality team to carry out internal, process, and product audits in accordance with schedules and provide assistance as and when required during external audits.
  • Have direct communication with automotive customers and carry out customer site visits as necessary.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction to provide opportunities for universal improvement.
  • Provide interpretation of standards and legislation and provide necessary supporting documentation and certification.
Requirements
  • Significant experience working as a quality engineer in the automotive sector.
  • Core tools trained.
  • IATF 16929 internal auditor trained.
  • Top-level contract review experience.
  • Engineering/manufacturing background.
