The University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is a leading teaching trust in the UK, boasting modern facilities and a commitment to research and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Practitioner to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity will see you working as a Clinical Practitioner in community settings, utilising your highly specialist knowledge and clinical reasoning to plan and provide clinical intervention in consultation with other colleagues in the multidisciplinary team. You will be required to initiate effective history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, and the implementation of a range of care interventions for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate effective history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, and the implementation of a range of care interventions for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Utilise highly specialist knowledge and clinical reasoning to plan and provide clinical intervention in consultation with other colleagues in the multidisciplinary team.
  • To signpost, refer, and support access to health, social, and third sector services to reduce inappropriate attendances and admissions at A&E and improve patient quality of life outcomes.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual who possesses excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work independently, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and hold a non-medical prescribing qualification. Experience of working in community settings would be advantageous.
