About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our client's dynamic consultancy team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for working on a variety of projects, including datacentres, commercial buildings, hospitals, and schools. Your primary focus will be on client sites, with minimal need to report to a head office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cost Management and Estimation
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for M&E projects, taking into account various factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and manage risks effectively to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring costs remain within agreed limits.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms with contractors and suppliers to ensure the best possible outcomes for the client.
  • Manage the procurement process for materials and subcontractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, maintaining the highest level of integrity and transparency.
  • Manage the resolution of any financial disputes related to projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to find mutually beneficial solutions.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest level of quality and professionalism.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project costs and contracts, taking a proactive approach to minimize exposure.
