Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor

WR HVAC | MEP is a prominent contracting firm specializing in mechanical and electrical engineering solutions, recognized for its dedication to delivering exceptional quality and innovative approaches across various commercial and residential projects. As the company continues to grow, we are looking to enhance our team with skilled professionals.

This role is ideal for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project Surveyor, or Lead Surveyor with a proven track record in managing M&E projects valued over 10 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Develop and oversee cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans. Track project expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Create tender documentation, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities. Assess and negotiate agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Valuation and Variations: Execute valuations and manage variations and change orders. Ensure timely and accurate payment applications and final account settlements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate project risks, formulating strategies for mitigation and advising on potential issues.
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports detailing project progress, cost management, and financial performance, presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the M&E industry.
  • Experience managing M&E projects with a minimum value of 10 million.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems and construction methodologies.
  • Proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
