Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor - Freelance Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a freelance basis. As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading the commercial and contractual aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning and management.
  • Measure, value, submit, and negotiate contract variations to ensure that the project is delivered within budget.
  • Provide expert advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters, including reviewing and drafting correspondence.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate project final accounts to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the outcome.
  • Commercially vet sub-contractor tenders and contracts to ensure that they meet our quality and safety standards.
  • Certify sub-contractor monthly valuations and final accounts to ensure that payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Ensure that our commercial processes are adhered to at project level, ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with our company's policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ambitious and enthusiastic towards their career and projects, with a strong desire to deliver high-quality results.
  • Experience working within an M&E Contractor, with a strong understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
