About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to lead our M&A Due Diligence team within our Legal Delivery Centre. As a key member of our Corporate Legal team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Paralegals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our Corporate Practice group.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day work of the DD team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services to our Corporate practice group.
  • Supervise the majority of the team's DD projects, including managing expectations, tracking progress, and providing timely updates.
  • Assist in the development and expansion of the LDC DD offering by building relationships with the Corporate practice group and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • General line management responsibility for the team, including allocating assignments, monitoring workload, and conducting performance reviews.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with 2+ years' experience working within a Corporate Legal Team or similar setting. You will have a strong understanding of M&A transactions and due diligence processes, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Essential:

  • Able to manage and work well with people at all levels.
  • Obtained an LLB or GDL or equivalent Law degree.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Clear and effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Highly professional with a dedication to exceeding expectations.

Desirable:

  • Proven capability in managing buy-side and sell-side M&A due diligence, including multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Qualified solicitor with experience in M&A transactions within a commercial law firm.
