About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Sector HR Specialist to join our team at the National Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide expert advice and support on people-related matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and NNL policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advice on people matters, supporting line managers and employees in accordance with NNL processes and policies.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, coaching line managers on people management issues and ensuring adherence to NNL policy.
  • Partner with the HR Support Team to provide comprehensive advice and support on people-related matters.
  • Utilize HR metrics to compile data packs and monitor trends.
  • Advise on job design, recruitment, restructuring, and redeployment processes, ensuring best practice and legislative compliance.
  • Support cross-functional activities by providing HR operational input as needed.
  • Contribute to Site or Company-wide HR projects, initiatives, or improvement activities.
  • Assist the HR Business Partners during key organizational change, transformation, and communication activities.
  • Support risk management, governance, and assurance processes for the HR function.

Requirements:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience, with extensive knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Proven ability to handle complex employee relations matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail around legal notes and data entry.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to drive projects forward.
  • Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance, including identity, employment, and criminal record checks.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
