About the Job

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Crime Victim Support Coordinator at Victim Support in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of victims of crime and contribute to creating a safer community.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the needs of victims of crime, including domestic and sexual abuse, and be able to provide high-quality support and guidance to help them achieve safety and well-being.

The role involves working closely with victims, professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure that victims receive the support they need to recover from crime. The salary for this role is approximately £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of crime, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk.
  • Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic and sexual abuse.
  • Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.

Requirements:

  • A good understanding of the needs of victims of crime, including domestic and sexual abuse.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • A strong crisis management skill and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
