Senior Advocate for Victim Support

The Victim Support team is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). As an IDVA, you will work closely with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
About the RoleThis is a hybrid position that requires working from home, our London Office, and directly with clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritized according to risk.
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse.
- Knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse.
- Good understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on victims and their children.
- Strong crisis management skills and ability to deal with stressful situations.
