Neonatal Nurse Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Neonatal Nurse to join our Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in neonatal nursing, with experience in high dependency care and special care. You will be confident in your ability to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized care plans, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in education and training programs to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse Adult or Child qualification.
- Qualified in Speciality (Neonates), ENB 405 or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience on a neonatal unit at Band 5.
- Evidence of Neonatal Advanced Life Support training.
- Evidence of Standard of Student Supervision & Assessment training.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Participation in a leadership programme Edward Jenner / Mary Seacole.
- ENB 997/8 or relevant teaching qualification.
- Participant or willingness to take on project work as lead or active participant.
