Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Community Therapies Service in Great Yarmouth. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs, working closely with the wider Community Mental Health Team to support assessment and intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and develop personalized plans to support individuals in achieving their goals and improving their mental health and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with the Community Mental Health Team to provide a range of interventions, including group work and one-to-one sessions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and carers, ensuring that their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Community Therapies Service, including the design and delivery of new initiatives and programs.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including audits and service evaluations, to ensure that the service is delivering high-quality care.
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Professional Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council.
- Experience working clinically in a mental health setting, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Basic understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and any updates.
- Specialist knowledge and application of Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions relevant to this client group.
