Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to join our team as a Home Manager (Registered Manager) at Charlotte Straker, our charitable care home in Corbridge. As Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional care services to our residents, leading our team to success, and maintaining compliance with external requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with external requirements related to care, including the Health and Social Care Act 2022, Care Quality Commission, and the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Lead the management of the home and bungalows, responsible for all aspects of care/clinical and other service delivery to meet organizational strategy.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor best practice policies and procedures to support the operation of an integrated and flexible person-centered care service.
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports for internal use, the Board of Trustees, and external stakeholders to demonstrate that all services are well-led and provide high-quality care to all service users.
  • Provide effective and professional leadership, ensuring appropriate induction, training, and development of all staff and volunteers.
  • Liaise with and oversee maintenance contractors and others involved in the maintenance of property and equipment.
  • Work in collaboration with the CEO and trustees involved in Quality and Finance to give assurance, improve care, and maintain financial control.
  • Lead the liaison with the local community, activities coordinator, and marketing manager to promote the good name of CSP.

Requirements

  • Level 5 leadership for health and social care (QCF) or equivalent.
  • At least 3+ years working as a manager in an elderly nursing home setting.
  • Evidence of good or outstanding CQC inspections.
  • Experience in marketing a care home and budgeting.
  • Care of the Elderly.
  • Effective workload planning for self, staff, and CSP.
  • High level of IT skills (MS Office Suite).
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Aptitude towards learning and personal development, taking responsibility for own professional development.
  • NMC/HCPC Pin with relevant post-registration experience.
  • Flexible and responds positively to change.
