Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Cambian Dilston College. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care and support to our students, promoting their safety and well-being, and contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive living environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Deputy Home Manager and Head of Care in the management and development of high-quality residential education and care resources for students.
  • Provide management and guidance to less experienced staff to ensure the development of best practice in residential care and optimal outcomes for students.
  • Safeguard and promote the safety and welfare of students at all times, adhering to Cambian Dilston College's policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations, prioritizing the protection of students from harm and taking reasonable steps to protect your own health and safety and that of others.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans, promoting the personal development and well-being of students.
  • Contribute to the creation of a caring, stimulating, and safe environment for all students, staff, and visitors.
  • Protect and promote the positive reputation of Cambian Dilston College.
  • Engage with students, staff, and stakeholders to promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication.

Requirements

  • QCF Level 3 in adult care or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in care.
  • Experience working with young people or adults with learning disabilities, challenging behavior, and complex needs.
