About the Role

We are seeking a Relief Children's Residential Carer to join our team at Lincolnshire County Council. As a Relief Carer, you will provide support and care to children in our residential homes, helping them to maintain strong connections with their loved ones and friends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in all areas of their life, including activities, hobbies, and preparing for an independent life.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the children and the residential homes, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Requirements:

  • No professional caring experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • A kind and caring nature, with a passion for supporting children's welfare.
  • Basic IT skills, including the ability to use a computer and software applications.
  • A willingness to obtain a QCF qualification in working with children.

  • A competitive hourly rate of £16.16, with additional sleeping in payments of £40.76 and mileage reimbursement at 45p per mile.
