Job Summary

MWH Treatment, a leading provider of water and wastewater solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering water and wastewater schemes across the UK.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer with a strong background in design and delivery. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Producing cost-effective design layouts that meet the requirements of the specification and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Ensuring that standard practices are utilized wherever possible.
  • Maintaining competitiveness and providing estimates and feedback for our proposals department.
  • Working to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
  • Assisting in developing procedures and processes, monitoring and reviewing them, and writing, updating, and monitoring efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
  • Ensuring coordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment to ensure that the design processes carried out on the contract are coordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole.
  • Maintaining files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
  • Assuring customer satisfaction and working within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognized as the key to achieving other objectives.
  • Maintaining a personal development plan and assisting in supervising and developing staff.
  • Assisting in ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and reducing waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
  • Ensuring designs take account of environmental issues and that design takes full regard of all health and safety requirements.
