About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our fashion retail team at the British Heart Foundation. As a key member of our store management team, you will play a vital role in driving sales, improving customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store, taking full responsibility in their absence.
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales assistants and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to maximize sales and drive customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets, manage stock levels, and optimize store operations.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales assistants and volunteers.
  • Contribute to the development of store-specific sales plans and strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Supervisory experience, with a track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve results.
  • Commercial acumen and a passion for driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
