About the Role: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for helping our clients create business value through carbon, energy, biodiversity, and sustainability management. This involves understanding their impacts, risks, and dependencies on nature and developing achievable management plans to communicate their achievements.

In this role, you will contribute to our overall consultancy function, taking responsibility for managing and delivering projects related to nature, carbon, energy, and sustainability. Your primary focus will be on developing and delivering Biodiversity Footprinting and risk assessment projects for key clients, as well as spearheading Science-Based Targets (SBT) for Forest Land & Agriculture (FLAG) projects. You will also identify and merge connections between SBTN and SBT FLAG into our service portfolio.

Your duties will include engaging with our project development team to establish no net loss/net gain and/or nature positive outcomes, exploring broader relationships between biodiversity evaluations and extended mitigation strategies, and seeking connections between biodiversity & nature and our extensive services. Additionally, you will develop and deliver SBT FLAG projects and biodiversity impact, risks, and dependency assessments for key clients.

The ideal candidate will have multiple years' post-graduate experience in sustainability services, preferably demonstrated through client consulting engagements in the private sector. A relevant undergraduate degree in ecological, biological, biophysical, or social science is required, with a relevant post-graduate degree desired but not essential. Technical background in ecology, terrestrial, and/or marine biodiversity, and/or ecosystem services is essential, along with experience establishing and delivering no net loss/net gain and/or nature positive outcomes. Familiarity with major biodiversity safeguards and standards, such as IFC Performance Standard 6 and the Equator Principles, is desired.

This role is based in the UK with a flexible blend of home and office working. The estimated salary range for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
