About the Role

The role will involve planned intervention over an agreed time period, focusing on keeping children and young people safely within their family homes and preventing them from entering the care system.

Our Approach

We have developed a bespoke practice model that reflects our vision, value base, and behaviour as one East Riding of Yorkshire approach to working with children, young people, and their families.

This model connects Signs of Safety with the East Riding value base and our overall approach to making and sustaining relationships with children, families, and communities.

A well-developed practice model creates a common language for the service and enables everyone to understand how we go about doing the right things in the right way and for the right reasons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting children and young people experiencing difficulties in their home life
  • Encouraging children and young people to fulfill their potential through various tasks
  • Safely keeping children and young people within their family homes
Requirements

We are looking for members of staff who are enthusiastic, dynamic, and creative in their approach to working with vulnerable children and young people.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as they will be expected to transport young people to various locations.

This post requires a DBS criminal record check, however applicants with lived experience are encouraged to apply and any applications will be looked at on an individual basis.

We offer competitive salaries and benefits, including a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
