We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This role will be responsible for managing and administering all HR activity across the company, ensuring a robust and supportive HR function that enhances the employee experience and complies with relevant laws and regulations.
About the Role:
This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a highly-organised and people-oriented individual with experience working in a generalist HR role. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of HR laws and regulations, as well as knowledge of current HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the recruitment process, including drafting and posting job adverts, sifting CVs, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate the onboarding and exit process, including completion of pre-employment checks and references.
- Prepare monthly payroll information and liaise with our external payroll partner and group pension scheme.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and collate information for HR reports.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues and queries, including performance management and disputes.
- Review and maintain employee policies and company documents.
- Coordinate administration of staff benefits.
- Support with the implementation of other ad hoc People projects and all other ongoing HR administration.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a HR generalist or similar role.
- Degree in HR or related field (CIPD Qualified) would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations and ability to apply them appropriately.
- Knowledge of current HR best practices, including metrics and use of technology.
- Experience in dealing with complex employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Dynamic and able to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT skills, comfortable using MS Office and online systems.
- Highly-organised and able to juggle competing priorities.
- A self-starter with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
