Senior Health and Safety Advisor

Job Summary
Lidl - Head Office is seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our Trading Compliance department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company remains legally compliant with all aspects of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on health and safety matters, including risk assessments and internal procedures
- Develop and maintain corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure understanding and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Produce and evaluate analysis and performance reports to inform business decisions
- Represent the company during local authority contacts and liaise with external service providers
Requirements
- Relevant degree (e.g. Environment Health) with relevant experience or working towards the NEBOSH Diploma with relevant experience
- Or Hold the NEBOSH General certificate and have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role ideally within a multi-site retail or warehousing environment
- Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety Legislation
- Membership of a relevant industry body (e.g. IOSH)
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage with key stakeholders
- Results orientated with effective time management skills and ability to work within tight time frames
- Strong written and IT skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to travel to all areas within GB and must hold a full UK driving licence
